Premier Surgery Packages Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the price?

Each package includes the fees for your surgeon, the facility, and anesthesia. There is a pre-surgery consultation fee, but the fee is waived if you are a candidate for surgery. The total price may vary depending on the complexity of your procedure. Please note: If you have bi-lateral or multiple procedures during the same surgery, the price could be higher.

Are gallbladder and hernia the only procedures offered?

Yes, at this time the package pricing applies only to gall bladder and hernia procedures that are performed at our Premier Surgical Office Based Surgery Center in Knoxville. Stay tuned, we plan to expand our procedure options in the future.

How long is the quoted price valid?

60 days.

What is NOT included in the price?

The package price does not include pre-surgery diagnostic studies (such as imaging, labs and blood tests), outpatient medications or travel. Pathology tests during and after surgery are not included in the package cost.

Where will my procedure be performed?

If you’re a candidate, your surgery will be performed at the Premier Surgical Office Based Surgery Suites on Papermill Drive in Knoxville. The facility is state certified and accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities.

What if I’m not a candidate for office based surgery?

If your case is more complex, your procedure will be performed at one of our local hospitals. We perform surgery at Fort Sanders Regional, Parkwest Medical Center, Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center, Tennova Physicians Regional and Tennova North Medical Center.

Please note: Our package pricing does not apply to hospital-based surgeries. If a hospital surgery is recommended, our office manager will discuss your insurance and payment options with you.

What if I am not a candidate for any surgery?

An initial consultation fee of $200 is included in the surgery package. If surgery is not indicated, you will be charged the $200. If you have surgery at a hospital with one of our surgeons, the fee will be billed to your insurance plan.

How and when do I pay for my surgery?

After your surgeon establishes you as a candidate for surgery, our office manger will discuss your payment options with you either via phone or in person. Payment arrangements will be made prior to scheduling your procedure.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, major credit cards, and cashier’s checks.

Is financing available?

Yes. Financing for your procedure is available through several different lenders. Prosper Lending.

What if I have insurance?

If you have insurance, our office manager will discuss your billing and payment options with you.

What if I don’t know which surgeon to choose?

If you don’t have a preference, our team will select an appropriate surgeon for you from our qualified, experienced physicians.

Will there be an extra cost to me if there is a complication with my surgery?

For cases performed in our office-based surgery suites we offer, as an-add on option, an insurance policy that will cover any complications. Our office manager will discuss those with you.
